Eleanor, This is the most powerful example I have seen at Trinity of stepping out with a Brave Heart and acting on the encouragement of the clergy to do more than hear the word! It is this sort of "acceptance of the challenge" I had hoped the clergy would hold each of us accountable for. Way to lead.
Join us as we commit to memorizing scripture this year. Every month on the 1st and 15th I will post the passage I've chosen for myself. You can either use mine or choose one of your own - either way, please share it by commenting on my post with your name, verse(s) and translation. By the end of 2009, we will each have memorized 24 scripture passages! Even if you missed the start of the year, don't let that keep you from jumping in now.
I am not ashamed to admit that this discipline is not my idea, but rather it was started by Beth Moore on herLPM blog. Check out the 12/27/08 and the 1/1/09 postings for complete info.
